Oil Pulling Technique And Benefits

You may or may not have heard of oil pulling. Despite emerging as the hottest new trend in dental care, this method is actually an ancient folk remedy. But what is it? How to do it? And Why should you do it?
What is Oil Pulling?
Oil pulling is an oral therapy that required one to swish one tablespoon of vegetable oil (coconut, sesame, sunflower, etc.) inside your mouth for as long as 20 minutes, ideally on an empty stomach. Once the oil turns to a milky white color, which means the oil has leached the toxins from your mouth, you spit it out.
How to do Oil Pulling:
▪️ Take two teaspoons of oil in the mouth.
▪️ Swish the oil in the mouth.
▪️ Hold the oil for a few seconds and then again pull the oil through the mouth.
▪️ Initially, you can start pulling oil for 3 to 5 minutes. After a few days, you can increase the time of oil pulling to 15 to 20 minutes.
▪️ Spit out the oil and discard it.
▪️ Rinse off your mouth with warm water three to five times.
▪️ After that, brush your teeth properly.
